A place called Octagon: A special sanctuary

A relative of mine saw this place, called Octagon, in person and said it was a wonderful experience.

The director, this relative says, is Jack Hannah, and it is a non-profit, non-breeding, no kill shelter for exotic animals, most of which have come from abandoned or abusive backgrounds. Their website is

It is not a zoo, in the sense that all animals have been rescued and no zoo will take them, often because of physical and/or mental disorders. They may have come from terrible circumstances, but their life is much better now.
